Hello, my name is Katie Cann
Following graduation from The Evergreen State College, I worked a variety of roles within the photography industry for eight years. Five of those years I spent running my own wedding and portrait photography business.
In 2015, I shifted my focus to web development, earning a certificate from Seattle University. After completing the program, I spent eight years at a Seattle digital agency, taking on roles in quality assurance testing, digital marketing, web design, website management, and more for a variety of clients.
In my current role as the US Division Marketing Coordinator for an international greenhouse brand, I supported the rebranding of two heritage brands within six months of starting, helping modernize their visual identity and messaging. I also oversee content strategy, website management, paid and organic social media campaigns, email marketing, and brand initiatives across the US division. Additionally, I create and manage digital and print content, product photography, and video, helping drive engagement, lead generation, and conversions across channels.
A strong believer in lifetime learning, I hold a User Experience Certificate from School of Visual Concepts and continually expand my skills in ecommerce, digital marketing, and web strategy. My goal is to leverage this versatile experience to build and maintain products and campaigns that foster human connection, are usable and enjoyable, and communicate clearly. For me, the excitement of our digital environment is not just about the technology, it is about better serving the people on the other side of it.

Photography.A Personal History.
I was first drawn to photography as a teen visiting Italy with my parents. Then began using the darkroom in high school and stayed there all through college. I worked in camera store/photo lab for over two years selling gear and working as a Black & White darkroom technician. After that I ran my own portrait and wedding photography business for nearly 6 years. I will always have a passion for making photos.
